The Oculus | NYC

Located at the World Trade Center in Lower Manhattan, the Oculus serves as a major transportation hub connecting the PATH train from New Jersey with over a dozen NYC subway lines. Opened in 2016 and designed by Santiago Calatrava, it was built as part of the post‑9/11 redevelopment and now also houses a large retail concourse. Blending transportation, commerce, and architectural symbolism, the Oculus plays a critical role in the daily flow of commuters and visitors through Lower Manhattan.
